“If he dare me, I will reveal his academic qualification”- Sargent Karim to Mayor of Tamale

A member of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region, Sargent Karim, has threatened to reveal the academic qualification of Mayor Sule Salifu if he dares him.

“He can only speak this rudely to Alhaji Joe Kadir but if he dare me, I will reveal his academic qualification”.

“There are somethings I don’t want to even talk about. He has been talking about he being a graduate, he has masters etc. If he pushes me, I will bring a lot of things out because I am holding him in my hands”, he fumes.

According to the ex-military man that the claim by Mayor Sule Salifu, about his academic qualification was not true saying “he is not rightfully qualified to have such certificates including the Tamale Technical University Certificate”.

Ex- Sargent Karim made these remarks on Diamond FM’s Power Drive on Thursday May 26, after confirming that his name was among the list that were deleted from the Regional Album and was replaced by Sule Salifu, Hajia Fathia, Abdallah Salifu DC.

Sargent Karim was not pleased about this move but has however, descended heavily on Mayor Sule Salifu for responding rudely to Alhaji Joe Kadiri on Diamond FM.

It would be recalled that a publication by Diamond FM some few days ago regarding angry supporters of NPP storming the premises of the Northern Regional Head Office of the party on Wednesday May 25, 2022, to protest against the decision by the Regional executives to remove some Council of Elders and Patrons names from the Regional Album.

They accused the current NPP Northern Regional Chairman Mohammed Bantima Samba, of appointing his favorite people including Sule Salifu, Hajia Fathia, Abdallah Salifu DC to be members of the Council of Patrons.

The decision by the Regional Executives of NPP led by Chairman Samba, has since denied the voting right of the NPP Financier.

The move has left Alhaji Joe Kadir angry, and he threatened to disrupt the Delegates Conference on Friday May 27, 2022. if his name is not found in the album.

“I would rather sacrifice my blood than not vote on Friday”, he threatened.

However, the Mayor of Tamale, Sule Salifu, commenting on the issue jab Alhaji Joe Kadir for threatening to disrupt the election process on Friday.

Sule Salify while rubbishing the threat by Alhaji Joe Kadir, warned that, the State security will not spare anyone who foments trouble at the election ground on Friday.

He said he does not understand why Alhaji Joe Kadir thinks he cannot be replaced in the committee, saying that “the party doesn’t belong to him”.

“Is Alhaji Joe Kadir the owner of NPP? I have five children who can vote for the party. Joe Kadir doesn’t own the NPP, and he’s not NPP more than me. I have worked harder than him in the NPP. My intellectual property I’ve put in the NPP is more than the money he has invested in the party. I have gone on air since 2001, and campaigned for the NPP till date. When the Dagbon issue was there, where was Joe Kadir? Could he talk about NPP? He was NDC at that time”, he claimed.
