“I believe sincerely that, the Tamale Central Constituency will someday fall for NPP” – Dr. Ibrahim Anyars

The 2020 Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Tamale Central Constituency, Dr Ibrahim Anyars, has expressed his appreciation to the constituents of Tamale Central for their support during the just ended general elections.

Addressing the media in Tamale, Dr. Ibrahim Anyars Imoro who is also the CEO of NABCo indicated that he is optimistic that the Tamale Central Constituency will fall for the NPP in subsequent general elections in the country.

According to him the NPP in the constituency at the just ended general elections had gained a lot of fortunes, hence the belief.

 “I believed sincerely that, the Tamale Central Constituency will someday fall for NPP and this is going to be on account of our developmental records in the constituency,” he indicated.

Dr. Anyars disclosed that he had earlier congratulated the NDC MP elect for Tamale Central Mr. Murtala Ibrahim and wished him well after the declaration of the results.

Dr  Anyars conceded defeat when provisional results showed that he and his party, the NPP, had lost the 2020 parlaimentray elections.

He polled 33, 627, while his main contender Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala of the NDC garnered 41, 196.

Dr Anyars, said even though he did not win, he would continue to work hard to ensure that the people of Tamale Central had their share from the national cake to improve their lives.

 “The NPP offered the people of Tamale Central a choice but the election had consequences, I ran with a developmental agenda and with that developmental agenda, it was my wish that it was rolled out on my will but that did not happen. And as a son of the constituency I have no other place than to stay and support my people, he stated.
