Member of Parliament for Tolon Constituency, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has paid a surprise working visit to the newly constructed Tolon District Hospital.
The purpose was to get himself personally updated with preparations towards the operationalization of the facility.
The Tolon MP who doubles as Deputy Chief Whip therefore interacted with the hospital management, and staff of the facility in order to know the work done so far.
“I am very impressed with the quality of the job done so far and reserves no doubt that, the facility will stand to provide quality health care services for the people of the constituency and beyond”, he stated.
Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in November 2020, commissioned the 60-bed Ultra-Modern Tolon District Hospital but it is yet to begin operations.
The newly constructed Tolon District hospital has several departments including, Outpatient and Emergency Department, Inpatient Wards for male, female and pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology (Maternity and Child Health), Surgery including an Intensive Care Unit, Physiotherapy and a Pharmacy.
The hospital also has Diagnostic Services including X-ray, Laboratory, and ultrasound, and a Mortuary.
The MP after inspecting the facility latter donated 100 anti- venom snake jabs to the Tolon Health Centre and encouraged the personnel at the facility to ensure it benefited the vulnerable farming in the area.
The support is in fulfillment of the pledge the NPP MP made during the 2020 elections period, this is the four time the MP is supporting the Tolon Health Center with the anti- venom snake jabs.
