Vice President Alhaja Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia has donated 10,000 Ghana cedis to management of Tamale based Diamond FM.
The donation was to support the station organize its annual Damba celebration, which is in its fourth season.
Vice President Bawumia whiles mourning his late mother Haji Mariama in Walewale also found time to make the donation through one of his aides.
At Kperiga in the East Mamprusi municipality of the North East region, the Vice President is leading the 40th day Islamic funeral rites of his late mother Hajia Mariama Bawumia.
During the annual Diamond Damba Festival several activities are undertaken to celebrate the ancient festival.
The blood donation exercise is one of the major components of the Diamond Damba Festival which is aimed at supporting the National blood bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.
The management of the station also intended registering National Health Insurance Cards for some vulnerable widows, orphans and some elderly persons at the premises of Diamond FM on Monday October 25, 2021.
Management of Diamond FM is inviting listeners, various groups and associations to come in their numbers and support the initiative to save lives in the region.
