He commended the government and the three eminent chiefs committee for their efforts in restoring lasting peace in Dagbon, saying same steps have to be taken to resolve the chieftaincy dispute in the Nanung traditional area.

The Yagbonwura commended the government for implementing series of flagship programmes to alleviate poverty among Ghanaians.

The president of the regional house of chiefs however called on people of the three regions of the North to accept community integration and see themselves as one to ensure peaceful coexistence among the various tribes in the regions.

“Peace is not the answer to our challenges as a people, but rather the sustainability of the PEACE. For us as a community, in sustaining peace, we need to accept community integration and see ourselves as one. We should freely allow general human interactions and encourage integrated marriages. We need to develop the habit of perpetual love and forgiveness for each other,” he stated.
