Ghana draws Nigeria in play-offs stage of the FIFA World Cup 2022

Ghana will play rivals Nigeria in the final round of the African Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament in March this year.

This was revealed on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Doula, Cameroon.

The draw was conducted by CAF Competitions Director Samson Adamu, with assistance from CAF legends El Hadji Diouf and Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Black Stars of Ghana will host the first leg in Cape Coast before travelling to Nigeria for the second leg days later.

Ghana are chasing a record 4th FIFA World Cup appearance while Nigeria seek for their 7th appearance in the competition.

The play-off games will be played between 24-29 March, 2022.
