The National NASARA Coordinator of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa has stated that, the leader of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) former President John Dramani Mahama in his 8yrs in government neglect the people of Zongo communities in the country.
According to him, former President and NDC have no interest of transforming Zongo communities therefore, they have failed to initiate any meaningful developmental projects at the Muslim populated inner-cities (ZONGOs) across the country. “John Mahama has been the President of this country before. He has never lay one block in our Zongo communities”.
Alhaji Abdul Aziz Haruna made this remarks at the durbar organized by the Northern Regional Nasara wing of the NPP.
The programmed aimed at showcasing the Nasara wing of the party, re-energizing it, and inspiring it as well as mobilizing its members to work towards the victory of the NPP come December 7th this year.
The durbar attended by some ministers of State and other government appointees, various MMDCEs, Parliamentary Candidates as well as aspiring parliamentary candidates as well as the regional executives led by Chairman Mohammed Baantima Samba.
Addressing hundreds of supporters of NPP at the durbar ground in Tamale, the National NASARA coordinator, also indicated that, no female students from the Muslim-populated inner-cities were ever selected for any training in Gynaecology in Cuba by the previous administration as claimed by former President John Mahama.
“In fact he hate Muslims. He hate Islam. That is why he attended Ahlul Sunnah Muslim community programme and lie in front of our Imams, that he has sponsored about 40 of our girls to Cuba to go and learn Medicine, because he doesn’t have respect of our Imams. So, he will lie to them, because he has betrayed Islam. He has betrayed Muslis. Please! Zongo, lets come out and vote massively for Nana Akuffu Addo,” he stated.
He said the NPP Nana Addo led administration within three years in government, has initiated series of social interventions at the Zongo communities; Zongo Development Fund which has impacted lives of persons living in these communities. “Allah will not forgive us if we in the Zongo communities failed to vote massively for NPP and Nana Addo Dankwa Akofu Addo”, he said.
The Northern Regional NASARA coordinator, Alhaji Shamwunah Eliasu , speaking to Diamondfmonline.com after the programmed, indicated that his outfit is putting up the necessary measures in place to ensure that the NPP get hundred percent votes at the Zongo communities in the region come December 7th this year.
