Female Patients on admission at Tamale Central Hospital falls prey to burglars

Female Patients on admission at the Tamale Central Hospital have been hit with a double agony after thieves broke into their ward and made away their valuables.

Mobile phones, bags containing monies, ID cards and other valuables were all missing from the female ward when the patients woke up on Wednesday.

The burglary is suspected to have taken place the previous night when the patients were fast asleep.

Four of the distraught young women on admission, at the female ward narrated their ordeal to Diamond News.

“They took my purse containing about GH¢500. They picked my phone which I was charging as well,” one of the patients said.

Another lady, also on admission lost her phone in the night event, Whiles a middle aged lady in the ward catering for her ill mother also claimed she lost her phone and bag containing valuable items.

The nurses at the ward who confirmed the incident told Diamond news the incident had been reported to their superiors for necessary actions to be taken.

 According to the staff, this is not the first occurrences of such nefarious acts within the Tamale Central health facility.
