Fatima Farida School Tamale commences activities for 10th Anniversary celebration

Fatima Farida School, Tamale, a private Islamic and secular education institution has commenced activities with a float through the principal streets of Tamale as part of its 10th anniversary celebration.

The float which took place on Saturday, 20th December, 2025 begun at about 8:30am from the school’s main campus at Zogbeli, a suburb of Tamale. The team then went through to the central business district of Tamale and returned to the school’s premises.

The event brought together students, staff, parents and other stakeholders of the school with an overall aim of courting public awareness about the milestone chalked by the school since its establishment in 2015.

During the procession, some of the students wearing their branded anniversary t-shirts and lacoste shirts mostly in green colour held placards, some of which read: “the best of you is the one who learns the Qura’n and teaches it”, “Qur’an should be read daily”, “Neglect and disrespect for the Qur’an darkens the spiritual life”, among others.

The float is only the beginning of the activities marking the 10th anniversary of the school. Other activities to be marked as part of the anniversary are: a sports and games day which will be observed on Wednesday 24th December, 2025 at the Nobisco field.

There will be a picnic event for students, staff and parents on Thursday, 25th December, 2025 at Tamale College of Education premises. The anniversary events concludes on Saturday, 27th December, 2025 when a durbar of all students, staff and parents will be held to climax the celebration at the Kpalsi campus of the school in Tamale.

Fatima Farida School was established in 2015 with the first enrolment of students in September, 2015. The first batch of students wrote the BECE last year, 2024 and some of them have proceeded to various senior high schools across the country.
