Eighty brilliant students receive financial support from Savelugu MP

The Member of Parliament for Savelugu constituency in the Northern Region, Hon Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz has supported 80 needy but brilliant students in her constituency.

The beneficiary students were drawn from across the constituency.

A total of One Hundred and twenty-nine thousand Ghana cedis (GHS 129,000 cedis) was disbursed to the students from the MPs common fund.

Hajia Fatahiya in her speech at a short ceremony said the initiative forms part of her efforts to enhance education in the area.

He underscored the importance of education and encouraged the beneficiary students to take their studies seriously and urged them to return to serve the constituency after completion of their programs.

“I am going to invest in this constituency, Savelugu constituency. You voted me for a reason. Some of the promises I made to you when I was campaigning this was part of it. This is what I signed for. I told the people of Savelugu constituency to vote me for me to impact lives and that is exactly what I’m doing, she stated.

The beneficiary students, who could not hide their happiness after receiving the support thanked the MP for the gesture.
