DIAMOND FM’S DAMBA FESTIVAL BLOOD DONATION FOR THE TAMALE TEACHING HOSPITAL ATTRACTS MORE DONORS THAN LAST YEAR.

The Second edition of the Diamond FM 2018 Damba festival Blood donation exercise ended successfully on Monday at the premises of Diamond fm in Tamale

The annual exercise attracted listeners from all walks of life and supporters of the various political parties in the region.

Personalities including Northern Regional director of NCA, Abuabakari Iddrisu Aloma, Regional director of NHIS, Mohammed Abdul Latif, former Regional youth organizer NDC, Mohammed Abio, Regional communication director of NPP, Issah Mohammed, Regional youth organizer of NDC Alhaji Inusah Ankorah , the former Regional communication director Mohammed Abdul Kudu, among others showed up.

Also communicators for the major political parties that appeared on Diamond fm Morning drive lauded the initiative, and re-echoed the need for peace and unity among the various political parties in the region.

Some of the blood donors spoke about why they chose to take part in the live saving event organized by Diamond fM.

Meanwhile Ziblim Adam, who led the team from the Tamale Teaching Hospital, has commended Diamond fM for the exercise, saying this will go a long way to improve blood supply at the blood bank of the TTH.

He also encouraged other Radio stations in the region to emulate Diamond fM.
