Diamond FM supports Anfaaani Children’s Home and Tears of Widows and Orphans Foundation

The Management of Diamond FM in the Northern Region has on Monday September 23, 2024, extended support to the Tears of Widows and Orphans Foundation and Anfaani Children’s Home in the Tamale Metropolis of the Northern Region.

Diamond FM as part of its annual Diamond Damba Festival celebrations solely relies on support from philanthropists and benevolent institutions, to enable the station to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable in society.

The food items donated include several bags of maize, bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil, packs of tomato paste, used clothing, packs of baby diapers, detergents, toiletries, soap among others.

The gesture aimed at putting smiles onto the faces of the widows and the orphans within the greater Tamale.

This is the seventh edition of Diamond Damba Festival. During this period management of the station earmarked a series of activities to celebrate the ancient festival.

The activities include fun games, blood donation, registration and renewal of health insurance cards for widows, orphans and elderly, and presentation of food items to the Tears of Widows.

Manager of the Anfaani children’s home Mr. Lamin Rahaman thanked the management of Diamond FM for the gesture. He also calls on institutions and other organizations to their aid.

Speaking on behalf of members Tears of Widows and Orphans Foundation Hajia Sirina, also commended the management of Diamond FM for their continued support to the widows and orphans.

She prayed for the station to be elevated to a television.
