Deputy Chief of Staff Alhaji Aliu Fawaz launches campaign, urge constituents to vote him and NPP flagbearer
The 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Zabzugu Constituency, Alhjai Aliu Fawaz, has called on people of Zabzugu constituency to vote for him as their Member of Parliament (MP) and Dr Mahamadu Bawumia as President in the upcoming general elections.
He said his party led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has done a lot for the people of Zabzugu therefore there’s the need for the NPP to be retained.
Speaking at the party’s constituency campaign launch at Kukpalgu in the Northern Region, the Deputy Chief of Staff pointed out that the NDC PC of the area has nothing to offer the people of Zabzugu because he has ever represented the people in the floor of parliament, but he cannot point out a single developmental project he initiated and executed in the area.
“The NDC PC cannot boast of any significant landmark projects in Zabzugu”, he emphasized.
He said though he is still a Parliamentary Candidate (PC), his outfit had initiated and executed a series of developmental projects and social interventions for the constituents. He listed several key developmental projects, including construction of roads, provision of portable drinking water, rural electrification, construction of artificial Astro turf facility, initiate job opportunities for the youth, support for farmers among others.
Addressing thousands of party supporters and residents drawn from the various communities in the constituency, Alhaji Fawaz, emphasized his commitment to transforming the area.
In his remarks, the Majority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markins encouraged the people of Zabzugu to throw their full support behind the party’s parliamentary candidates.
The Majority Leader also urged the people to ignore the Independent Candidate and NDC candidate.
“Please my dear youth, today, don’t let anybody deceive you that because you are from a certain tribe you should vote for somebody else. This is your candidate. If you see the way NDC is creating problems for your government in Parliament because we don’t have our numbers. You should make sure that you vote for your Parliamentary Candidate in this constituency, so that Dr Bawumia will have a free hand to develop Ghana to ensure that you the youth also benefit”.
In his part, the Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mohammed Bantimah Samba, in his remarks stressed the importance of unity within the constituency and urged the electorates to vote in their large numbers come December 7 to enable the party emerge victorious.
Other speakers such as Deputy Majority Chief Whip and MP for Tolon Constituency, Hon. Habib Iddrisu, Napaga Tia Sulemana, Deputy National Secretary Prof Haruna Mohammed, all touched the need for the party to emerge victorious come 7th December.
