“DDF is a noble course”, Agric Minister after donating 10k and other items.

The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto, has presented some assorted items to Diamond FM towards this year’s Diamond Damba festival celebration.

The Minister, after participating in the final funeral rites of the late mother of the Vice President proceeded to Diamond FM on Sunday October 24th, 2021 to present the items to management of the station.

The items included cartons of Milk, cartons of voltic mineral water, and cartons of Malt.

Dr Owusu Afriyi Akoto, who is in the race to become flagbearer of the NPP also handed over Ghc 10,000 cash to the management of the station to support other activities lined-up for the festival.

The minister in a brief interaction with Diamondfmonline.com commended management of the station for using the Damba festival to support vulnerable persons in society and also helping to save lives at the various hospitals.

“When I heard of this in Walewale, I couldn’t just come back to Tamale to take a flight back to Accra, I had to come and support this very noble course that Diamond FM has given to itself, to help the poor using the Damba festival”, he said.

He mentioned that “as a practicing Christian it is important to give back to society, and this has attracted me to come to Diamond FM myself to support this noble course”, he added.

The annual blood donation exercise organizer by Diamond FM which is in its fourth season is aimed at supporting the National blood bank at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The management of the station also intended registering National Health Insurance Cards for some vulnerable widows, orphans and some elderly persons at the premises of Diamond FM on Monday October 25, 2021.

Management of Diamond FM is inviting listeners, various groups and associations to come in their numbers and support the initiative to save lives in the region.
