COVID-19: Gulkpegu Naa direct all his sub chiefs to organized Quran recitation for Allah to intervene to minimize the impact of the COVID – 19

The paramount chief of Gulkpegu traditional area, Naa Alhaji Alhassan Abdulai, has directed all his divisional and sub- chiefs within his jurisdiction to liaise with Islamic scholars within their various communities to organized Quran recitation and prayers for Allah intervention to curb the impact of the deadly COVID – 19 pandemic in the country.   

The chief of Gulkpegu in a press statement sign by his secretary Mohammed Rashad Abdulai, indicated that all sub and divisional chiefs within Gulkpegu traditional area, should organized Quran recitation within their localities on Monday 30th March, 2020 for Allah intervention on the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The statement added that, “the Imams should form cluster maximum of eight (8) for the recitals. The prayers and sacrifices have been the norms and tradition of Dagbon”.

The chief of Gulkpegu also called on Imams within the Tamale Metropolis also do same for the region and the country at large.
