Chief Executive of the Public sector reforms, Thomas Kusi Boafo has urged all persons in both public and private sector to embrace the reform strategy that has been launched by the government
According to him, the reform represent a pragmatic means for the creation of a public sector that will deliver efficient and effective services that is responsive to the needs and expectations of the citizenry and the private sector.
Mr. Kusi Boafo said this in Tamale during a zonal launch and sensitization on the national public sector reform strategy (NPSRS 2018-2023) which brought together some public and civil servants and private enterprises as well as the media.
The NPSRS which is on the theme: “Delivering for citizens and private sector” was launched in August this year by the President Nana Akuffo Addo and thus seeks to among others; review and modernize the current structures, systems, processes and international management functions of the public sector to support government’s development priorities.
Mr. Kusi Boafo said funding and policy support from government are also necessary for the reforms hence government is going to ensure a fit for purpose reform that will bring the needed growth and development to the people.
