Camfed Ghana organizes transition training for SHS leavers

It is an obvious fact that life after Senior high school becomes challenging, particularly for young ladies. It is for this reason that CAMFED Ghana has organized two days transition training for the SHS leavers in the Kumbungu district.

The training was to equip the selected young ladies and some 10 male students with the needed knowledge and information concerning “life after School.” These include the challenges they may face, the opportunities around them and many more.

Kumbungu District Programme Coordinator for Camfed, Mohammed Suglo, the District Business Facilitator, Deliman Ruka Yaro  among others like the District Transition Facilitators and some Camfed Association Members took the students through the training.

The beneficiary girls were made to understand that there are organizations that help persons with brilliant ideas or with skills and knowledge in business, education and others, with Camfed being one of such organizations.

The NGO helps vibrant young ladies with the needed skills training, business start-up kits, loans and others under the YOUNG AFRICA WORKS PROGRAM and more hence they were charged to explore these opportunities and should not allow their lives to end after SHS.

” I was confused as to what to do after school but now I am glad to say that I will start pastries business to help myself and my family until the results are released to enable me to continue with my education,”  Said Aliya, one of the students stated.

During the sessions, some of the trainers shared their lives stories with the students and they were motivated on life’s perspectives and decisions they would have to take after school.
