All is set for Diamond fM’s Damba events tomorrow Saturday and Monday

All is set for the third edition of the Diamond fM Damba events scheduled between November 16 and 18, 2019.

The initiative which feeds into the Damba festivities of the Dagbon royals and their subjects as well as other indigenes of the north, is a way of uniting the people particularly listeners of Diamond 93.7 fM through blood donation and footfall competition.

The third Diamond Damba events would kick start with a gala match between four main political parties – the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Convention people’s party (CPP) and the People’s National Convention (PNC).

According to the organizers; this year’s gala match would include tribes like the Kasenas, Frafras and Dargabas. Previously; it was a showdown between two playmates; the Dagomabas and Moshis.

At stake would be trophies and other goodies, which were made possible by generous fans and loyalists of Diamond fM.

On Monday, November 18, the station’s blood donation exercise rallies support for the blood bank of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, (TTH), would take place at the premises of Diamond fM at Nkrumah Valley, Nyohini.

Aside the opportunity for listeners to meet their favorite presenters, Monday’s activities also come with newer additions. Testing for Hepatitis B and registration of some vulnerable groups unto the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Management of Diamond fM is urging listeners’ and the general public – the spirit of Damba celebrations to come out and support the cause on Saturday at the Aliu Mahama stadium annex between 7 am  to 12 midday and also on Monday at Diamond fM from 7 to late afternoon.

Damba;  which marks the birth and naming of Prophet Mohamed (SAW) and is celebrated in the Dagomba lunar month of Damba, the 3rd month of the Islamic calendar, Rabia Al-Awwal.
