Ahead of 2020, the NPP says it is making strides to snatch the Kumbungu parliamentary seat for the first time

The parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the kumbungu constituency, Abdul Salam Fatawu Hamza, says the time has come for the party to win the kumbungu seat for the first time since the fourth republic.

According to him, all indicators point to the fact that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had lost its hold on the constituency and, therefore, the seat is ready for the taking.

Speaking to Diamond News, the NPP parliamentary candidate who doubles as DCE for Kumbungu district, promised to lead the front to winning the seat in making history for the party.

He pointed out that the NPP government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, in three years had rolled out several developmental projects which kumbungu district is a beneficiary.

He said as DCE of the kumbungu, he set in motion the implementation of these developmental projects which had made the party more attractive to the people of the area.

Abdul Salam Hamza, also indicated that he would bring along all persons that contested against him at the primaries and other party faithful in the constituency in order to forge a united front to win the seat.

 “I will not relent on my effort, but I will I will continue my good work for the people of Kumbungu district to enable me win the seat for my party NPP”, he stated.

He appealed to the constituents to throw their weight behind him so that he would continue his good work in the constituency.
