Sheikh Ibrahim Basha Iddris has showered praises on President Akufo-Addo for restoring peace to Dagbon

Islamic preacher and leader of the Masjidul Bayaan, Sheikh Ibrahim Basha Iddris has showered praises on President Akufo-Addo for restoring peace to Dagbon following the over the March 2002 incident in Yendi.

He also commended the Committee of Eminent Chiefs led by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for their role in bringing lasting peace to Dagbon after more than 16 years of leadership crisis.

The leader of Masjidul Bayaan Mosque who is also national chairman for Islamic education unit in a press statement copy to Diamond News commended President Akufo-Addo for his dedication to the works of the Eminent Chiefs and all who in diverse ways worked towards restoring peace to Dagbon.”

He also commended the northern regional security council REGSEC led by Salifu Saeed for their efforts in the  Dagbon peace and also prayed that the government and the security agencies will continue to work in tandem with the new overlord, and the people of Dagbon to ensure and maintain lasting peace and security in order for the government to continue honoring its promises to the people.

According to sheikh Bayaan the people of Dagbon have gone through a difficult and painful period since 2002, therefore it is prudent for people in Dagbon to support the new Ya-Na to develop the area.

Sheikh Bayaan also prayed to almighty Allah to grant the president another opportunity to resolve all chieftaincy dispute most especially in the Nanung traditional area of the Northern Region.

 
The leader of the Masjidul Bayaan also prayed for Allah blessings for the Bolin-Lana and Kampakuya-Naa of the Dagbon traditional area.
