Agrihouse foundation and her partners have launched the 9th edition of the Annual Pre-Harvest Agribusiness exhibition and conference in Tamale.

The Annual Pre-Harvest Exhibition and Conference seeks to accelerate the transformation of agribusiness in Northern Ghana.

This year’s event is on the theme: “Market Accessibility: The Structured and Sustainable Pathway.” \

The 2018 National Best Farmer, James Obeng Boateng in an address commended government for the numerous interventions in the agricultural sector that has led to an increase in production.

He however called on government to increase investments in creating access to markets centers across the country to reduce wastage and transportation challenges in the food production chain.

According to Obeng Boateng, interventions by the government and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector, might not achieve the needed results if concerted efforts were not put in place to address the marketing aspect of the value chain process.

Executive Director for Agrihouse foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa in an address said the conference will offer an opportunity for training programs, field demonstrations and also a unique networking opportunity for industry players.

She admonished participants to adopt new technologies and best practices that will help improve their production levels to ensure food availability and security in Ghana.

On display during the three days program will be modernized agricultural tools and equipment, verities of food products, farm inputs among others.
