Youth urged to take advantage of government policies and programme

A retired researcher at the Savanna Agricultural Institute, OsufoPatricApola has underscored the need for the youth in the northern region to adopt a positive mindset to buying into Government policies and programme in order to reduce the unemployment rate among the youth.

According to the Osufo Apola who is also a leader of Nyankpala of Zongo, poverty still remains an obstacle in this part of the country as results of youth failure to create their own avenue in generating jobs.

He said is it important fort the youth to make effective use of their God-given talent to becoming self-employed or creating jobs for others thereby contributing to the progress and development of the nation.

Speaking exclusively to Diamond News, Osofo Apulla however advised the youth to work hard in becoming self-employed rather than chasing government and public officials for non-existing jobs. He added by doing so it would discouraged others from searching for non-existing white collar jobs.

“The youth should wake from their sleep and get something doing and stop from accusing government and DCEs. It is wrong to accused government for not giving job. You have to create the jobs, the job is in your own way of thinking mentality, so the youth must wake from their sleep and create jobs either in farming fisheries, tree planting etc. Don’t sit idle, take up government policies to better your lives.“
