We will Disown NPP, if Hon Wahab Suhuyini wins the upcoming primaries – Supporters of NPP warn

Some supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the Tolon constituency, have threatened to leave the party should the delegates of the constituency voted for the incumbent MP of the area Hon Wahab Suhuyini.

According to them the incumbent MP of the area had failed them, and therefore should be kicked out come April 25, 2020.

They claimed that the MP in his 8yrs in parliament has failed to lobby for more developmental projects in the area.

“Just look at our roads, they are all, not in good shape. It will be very difficult for you to have access to some of the communities within the constituency during rainy season, and we have an MP who had ever hold DCE position for this constituency before. For me I will say we don’t have an MP”, one residents bust out.

They indicated that, the constituency lacks behind in terms of development because they never had a patriotic personality as an MP in the area.

“Hon Wahab Suhuyini lied to us in 2016 that his party was not in government, therefore he can’t push for any development for this constituency since they were in opposition. But now his party is in power for good three years and what did he do? absolutely nothing. He has nothing for the people of Tolon. He want us to give him our mandate. Never! Just look at our district capital, does it look like a capital? We will leave the party if the delegates  vote for him come”, they threatened.

They stated that, the member of parliament for Tolon constituency throughout his 8yrs in parliament never contributed in the floor of parliament, let alone put before parliament their developmental challenges in his constituency. “In fact, we don’t want him anymore. We are tired of him. We thought he can help to develop the constituency, but now we have realized that he’s so incompetent”, they noted.

The angry supporters of NPP claimed that, Tolon constituency is a strong hold of the NPP. “Just look at the developmental activities here, there is nothing to write about. All of this happens because we do not have an MP,” they lament.

Meanwhile the Member of Parliament for Tolon constituency, Hon Abdul Wahab Suhuyini, in an interview with Diamondfmonline.com, stressed that, he will not bow to any pressure, despite the threat by some members of NPP of the Tolon constituency.
