Voluntary group hands over a three unit block to the Garizegu R/C School in the Sa’gnarigu Municipality

Faith Youth Association, a voluntary group in the Northern Region has handed over a three unit block to the Garizegu R/C School in Sa’gnarigu Municipality.

This block which will house the school’s ICT facilities, a staff common room and an additional classroom, became possible through the instrumentality of the chief of Garizegu who had pleaded the association’s assistance for his community.

The facility which cost 90,000 Cedis is expected to serve Garizegu and its neighboring communities. Gracing the occasion, the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed commended the association for their efforts so far.

Salifu Saeed also urged parents to be responsible towards the needs of their wards especially the girl child.

The Northern Regional Director of Education, Alhaji Mohammed Harun Cambodia, also stressed the importance of education. He urged the community to support girl child education.

Alhaji Cambodia also admonished the Garizegu community to take proper care of the building.

For his part, the vice chairman of the Faith Youth Association, Muniru Adam explained that the group is a non-political association that focuses on promoting peace, infrastructure and also providing support for the underprivileged and homeless children.
