Unemployed assistant nurses in the Northern region, to demonstrate over failure by government to engage them

Unemployed assistant nurses association of the northern region, have threatened to hit the streets if government fails to address their concerns.

According to the group, ever since they graduated from the various health institutions in the region in November last year,they have not been posted to health facilities to render their services.

The group, lamented over the way they have become burden onto their parents, who continue to provide them financial support.

Speaking about their frustrations to Diamond news, leader of the group, Ibrahim Armiyaw Nindoo indicated that between three to four thousand unemployed assistant nurses in the region, have not received their certificates as a result of their outstanding fees.

He added that, the group had through several letters, petitioned the ministry of health, but these had yielded no good results.

Armiyaw Nindoo,on behalf of the group, gave the ministry of health, a week ultimatum to resolve their concerns by posting them into the various health facilities, or face their wrath.
