Tolon: NPP Alhaji Habib Iddrisu supports Kasuli Yili SHS in wrapping up his first round tour

The ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) parliamentary candidate for the Tolon Constituency Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has donated 100 bags of cement and an amount of GH₵ 5000 to the Management of Kasuli Yili Senior High School (SHS) to aid the ongoing construction project in the school.

Alhaji Habib made the donation to the school management when he led constituency executives and other party faithful’s to pay a courtesy call on the chief of Kasulyili, Alhaji Yakubu Abdulai.

The support is seen to be necessary since the construction of the school building will go a long way to ease the pressure on the school admissions and enhance teaching and learning in the school.

The purpose of his tour in the constituency was to formally introduce himself to the chiefs, and people within the Tolon constituency as the NPP’s parliamentary candidate.

This is seen as the first of its kind in the history of the constituency that a candidate vying for a parliamentary position pays a courtesy call on all chiefs in the domain even before serious campaign begins. He visited 123 out of a total of 128 towns and villages in the constituency including prominent chiefs like the – Tolon Naa, Kasuli-Lana, Nyankpali-Lana and many others.

The NPP pc through his efforts has also facilitated a series of developmental projects including the construction of six unit classroom block at Yoggu, connection of Kating Daa (market) to electricity which is one of the biggest markets in the Northern Region. Gbambaya and Gblahagu Yepala communities have also been connected to the national grid which has since improved the socio economic activities in these communities.

Alhaji Habib also facilitated ongoing electrification project at Dindo, Gurumanchagu yili and Zantani. In interactions with the chiefs, the NPP pc said he is poised to connect further communities to the national grid before the general elections

He said through his efforts, he has also secured funding for construction of a six unit classroom block for Kpalgon which will begin soon.
