Tiyumba FC gets training kits and equipment worth €1,500

About €1500 worth of training kits and equipment has been donated to Tamale based Division Two side Tiyumba FC inside Gumani on Friday.
The items donated include footballs, football boots, training bibs, set of jerseys, cones and other equipment necessary to facilitate the club during their training programs.

The donation was made by Madam Kimberly Verduyckt from Belgium- main Financier of the club.

According to her, the lack of training equipment and facilities by Tiyumba FC is quite worrying hence the need for her outfit’s support to the Gumani second tier club.

“I realized Tiyumba FC lacked basic training facilities and equipment including footballs”, says Kimberly.

“So anytime I come to Ghana, I bring those footballs, jerseys, football boots etc to the club”.

“But this time around I want to do something different, therefore I put up this Charity in Belgium with many people coming in to support with brand new footballs, boots, jerseys and shorts”.

Madam Kimberley also revealed in an interview with Diamond Sports that ten (10) players of Tiyumba FC will be embarking on trials with an affiliated academy in the Greater Accra region later this month.

“With the help of many people, we raised some money to buy all these stuff for Tiyumba FC”.

“I have links with many people in the football world.

“I hope that through them (agents) I can get somewhere by linking the players to other opportunities elsewhere in Europe to continue their footballing career”.

Tiyumba FC is a Division Two club based in Gumani a suburb of Tamale in Northern Ghana.
