THIRD CONGREGATION OF IMTIYAZ COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HELD

Imtiyaz College of Education, an Islamic Institution in the Tamale Metropolis has held its 3rd Special Congregation on Friday at its temporal campus at Wataniya Islamic Junior High School.

The Special Congregation was to graduate Arabic instructors who by dint of hard work had successfully completed their various programmes of study at the college.

 The Ceremony recognized and celebrated the achievements of over 400 granduands who were issued with Ordinary Diplomas in Arabic teachings.

In his brief speech, the regional manager of the Islamic Education Unit, Sheikh Alhassan Issah, indicated that IMTIYAZ COLLEGE OF EDUCATTION, was established to train Arabic instructors on modern technics in Arabic teachings, to serve the needs of Muslim communities and beyond.

Sheikh Issah mentioned that, the graduands who enrolled into the college in 2017 and were graduating would have the opportunity to teach various Arabic schools across the country.

“Bear in mind that the reward of your hard work is more work and trust that you are up to the task in view of the special training the college had giving you, accordingly, I entreat you not to rest on your oars but rather you must aim higher,” he noted

He has therefore urged the graduands to use their newly acquired skills to affect lives positively in the world of work and should also exhibit good behavior as they have become the representatives of the college.

“We are urging our graduands that, whatever you have learnt here, try to praticalize it, try to implement it, you have come here to learn  to go and keep it on your books , try to make sure you practicallize and apply whatever technics you might have learnt during your three years stay in this institution”, he stated

In his speech, the principal of Imtiyaz College of Education, Doctuur Ahmed, commended the management of Islamic Education Unit for establishing the college. He however disagreed with the perception by some sections of the public that Muslims across the world pay little attention on women development.  He said about Ten women Arabic instructors were among the Four hundred graduands.

He said graduands were taken through some courses including teaching methodology and educational psychology  among others.

The selected Arabic instructors across the region received their certificates after spending three years intensive training at the college.

Also present at the ceremony were elders of northern regional Islamic council, staff of Islamic education unit and staff of Imtiyaz College Education. Source: Diamondfmonline.com/ Alhassan yakubu
