Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fusieni to honor CID’s invitation for calling for a parallel government led by John Mahama

The NDC legislator for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, has stated that he is ready to meet the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service upon their request.

He insisted that he said nothing wrong by his parallel government comments aired on Pan African TV to warrant his invitation by the CID.

“I have said nothing wrong and nobody can intimidate me. I even wanted to go, but my party members are still meeting regarding the invitation. There is nothing wrong with my comments,” he stated

“Ghana, we are now in BIG BROTHER!” this is the comments of Inusah Fuseini on Diamond FM.

The CID invited the Tamale central lawmaker for urging the NDC 2020 Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama to declare himself a president of Ghana and form a parallel government.

The CID issued a statement and copied the Speaker of Parliament on December 22, 2020, seeking the Speaker’s permission to release the outgoing MP for Tamale Central for questioning.

Mr Fuseini, whilst speaking on Pan African Television, recommended a ‘parallel government’ approach to the former president who lost his bid to become president again in the just-ended December 7 polls.

The Tamale Central MP suggested, that a self-declaration by the former President, will send a fair message to the president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo and his government, and will re-echo the NDC’s decision to reject the declaration by the Electoral Commission.

I have said and I have advocated that he declares himself President and form a parallel government. And if he was minded to take my views, he should declare himself President and set up a parallel government. The impunity of this government which is legendary must stop and that’s how we stop it” he said.

Below is the police invitation letter:

Dear Right Honourable Speaker,

LETTER OF INVITATION

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service presents its compliment to the Right Honourable Speaker of Parliament. The CID is investigating a case in which Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Hon. Alhaji Inusah Fuseini on Pan African

Television show made some comments that “I have said and I have advocated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama and former President of the

Republic of Ghana declares himself President and forms a parallel government”

2. It would be appreciated if you could release the aforementioned Member of Parliament to report to Director Operations/CID at the CID Headquarters, 2nd floor, Room 2 on Thursday,

24/12/2020 at 1000hours to assist investigations.
