Savelugu:Education Director expressed worry over sexual affairs between teachers and students at SAVESS

The Savelugu Municipal Director of Education Philip Issahaku Ziblim  has expressed worry over the issue of sexual relationships between teachers and students at Savelugu Senior High School in the Savelugu Municipality.

Addressing the staffs and students of the school during a commissioning of new administration block in the school, Philip Issahaku described the act as unfortunate and irresponsible which should not be encouraged.

He said both stakeholder and parents expect more from the teachers because the teacher is the caretaker in the absence of the parent and the parent is not supposed to sleep with the child.

According to him, the indiscipline among teachers and students in the school has reached levels that were not only very disturbing, but also threatening the moral standard of the school. The director of education for the Savelugu Municipality however cautioned teachers who involved with such acts to desist before the system catches up with them.

 “The issue of indiscipline in this school still border some of us, and I am surprised that many teachers are involved in this indiscipline am talking about’, he stated. “I promise to take action on that, but unfortunately am not being able to do that, I want to believed that next time if there is new a director here, he will support the management of the school to tackled the issue”, he added.

“I don’t need to tell you, the student know what am talking about the teachers know what am talking about, if you don’t know I still have some few days.  I will come here and show you what am talking about , so please headmaster you are doing your best you have put in water, you have put in new administration block, you have put in a sick bay, try to pay more attention towards solving this indiscipline,” Mr Philip stressed.

“I am talking of teachers having sexual affairs with the students, please the system is catching up with such members of staff, if you are in the habits of moving with this student not in the aimed of helping them to learn but to satisfy with other pleasures please stop it. When the system is catching up with you, you will not get anybody to help you”, he warned.
