President Nana Akuffo Addo announces strategy by his government to address the many uncompleted GETFUND PROJECTS

President Nana AkuffoAddo during his just ended tour of the Northern Region, announced plans to roll out a comprehensive strategy to address the many uncompleted and abandoned GETFUND projects across the country.

He said the strategy is to enable the government raise some additional financing for the GETFUND to addressing the infrastructural and transports needs of the educational sector in the country.

He said the GETFUND has begun rolling out the policy which is expected to provide science and ICT laboratories, libraries and school buses to some selected schools in addition to completion of abandoned school blocks across the country.

Speaking at separate durbars in Kpandia and Wulensi during his Northern regional tour, the President assured Chiefs and people of the two areas of his readiness to work with the GETFUND to making such dream a reality.

President Akuffo Addo also commissioned an agricultural mechanization center at Wulensi under the government flagship planting for food and jobs policy to enable farmers’ access to farm implements.

The President said the mechanization of agriculture is part of his government’s vision to achieve food security in Ghana and an agricultural sector that will assist in the industrialization of the country.
