One hundred and twenty (120) Arabic instructors have been awarded Diploma in Basic Arabic teaching at the ceremony in Tamale, over the weekend.

The selected Arabic instructors across the region received their certificates after going through 35 days in-service training organized by the Islamic Education unit in the Northern Region.

Manager of the Islamic Education unit, AFA Issah Alhassan, indicated that the in-service training for the Arabic instructors was to sharpen their knowledge in Arabic teachings and learning.

He said since it was government’s plans to make Arabic an examinable subject, it had become necessary to take the lead by remolding their members, before the policy implementation begins.
