NPP women’s caucus in the Northern Region holds congress towards galvanizing support for their party’s retention of power in 2020

The Women’s wing of the NPP in the Northern Region has its first ever Women’s Conference and Rally for its Constituency Women’s Organizers and all women groups within the party in the region.

The Conference the first of its kind, themed: “Mobilizing Women for victory 2020 and Beyond,” brought featured women leadership within the party including National and regional executives with an agenda to charting a new path towards the development and victory of the NPP. 

Addressing the gathering at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium, the National Women’s organizer, Madam Kate Gyamfua, indicated that women in the NPP played an important role during the last general elections.

She added that over the last two years however, the women folks were becoming dormant  with party activities hence the decision to organize the women conference to share ideas and boosting their confidence to enable them mobilize more votes for the party in 2020.

Madam Gyamfuah, thereby called on all women groups within the NPP not to relent their efforts but should rather work hard to retain the party in power come 2020.

On her part, the Northern Regional Women Organizer of the ruling NPP, Hajia Rahana Abdul Aziz, commended constituency women organizers, for their hard work for the party. She called on them to continue working hard by selling the good policies of the party to other women to ensuring that the party emerged victorious in the next general elections.

Hajia Rahana appealed to the party women to exercise patience as the Akufo Addo government is putting measures in place to satisfy all party supporters.

The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed, commended the regional women organizer for her efforts towards ensuring the party to retain power in 2020.
