The Northern Regional chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress NDC, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila, has presented assorted items to management of Diamond FM ahead of the 3rd edition of DIAMOND FM DAMBA FESTIVAL.
The assorted items include 20 cartons of Voltic Mineral water, several cartons of milk, and some crates of nonalcoholic Malta drinks.
The Northern Regional vice chairman of the NDC Adolf Ali, who presented the items on behalf of Chairman Mobila, commended Diamond FM for taking such initiative to saving lives at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
Diamond FM is organizing its third season of 2019 DAMBA FESTIVAL, which would attract people from various tribes from the North including Moshies, Dagombas, Frafras, Kasenas, Grushies, Gonjas and Dagaabas, and political parties including CPP, NDC, NPP and PNC to battle in activities such as Football Gala competition and other sporting activities.
The event will be climaxed with a blood donation exercise, health screening and registration of National Health Insurance Scheme Cards to vulnerable widows and orphans at the premises of Diamond FM on Monday 18th November, 2019.
Speaking to Diamondfmonline after presenting the items the vice chairman of NDC, stated that the Northern Regional executives of the NDC is committed to providing the necessary support to the management of Diamond FM to ensure a successfully event.
“We will do everything possible to take part in some of the activities. Knowing some of the things Diamond FM will need to make the activities a very successful, we as an opposition party, the regional chairman of NDC has donated this assorted items to complement the efforts of the station to save lives in the region”, he stated.
Meanwhile, Communication Directorate of the ruling NPP of the Savanna Region led by
Mohammed Issah has also supported Diamond FM towards the celebration with an undisclosed cash amount.
The Savanna Regional Communication Director of NPP Mohammed Issah who presented the cash amount to Management of Diamond FM commended the station for such initiative to promoting peace in the region.
