NDC Parliamentary candidate for Kumbungu says the constituents know him for the much assistance that he has brought to their doorsteps to relieve them.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Kumbungu Constituency, Dr Hamza Adam has given details of a number of social interventions he initiated and implemented in the constituency in the last decade.

The parliamentary hopeful said despite his party being in opposition, he has been able to implement series of programs in the constituency thereby meeting the needed development of the people in the area.

He listed among others; how he lobbied for the construction of a number of boreholes in Kumbungu Township, Zugu, Yepelgu, Zangbali Kukuo, and Gbuli to address water challenges in these communities. He added that, his outfit has partnered with a Non-governmental organization to renovate a four unit classroom block at Gumo.

Dr Hamza also added that he facilitated admission of many constituents into various tertiary institutions and secondary schools.

 “The people know what I have been doing in the constituency, although my party and I are in opposition. They can mention the developmental projects I have brought into the constituency. These are numerous, the beneficiary communities can attest to what I am talking about, because they have been struggling for potable water for years and so the construction of these boreholes has brought relief to them. This makes me a better candidate to win the Kumbungu seat, because the people know I’m accessible and ready to develop the constituency. The people of Kumbungu constituency will not make a mistake to fall for the wrong person other than me,” he stated.

Dr Hamza Adam, a University lecturer, is optimistic that the people of Kumbungu would give him their mandate come December 7.

His main contender in the December 7 Parliamentary race for Kumbungu, will be, Abdul Fatawu Hamza who is on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
