Nanton MP commissions electrification projects in Sakpali and Chahiyili.

Member of Parliament for Nanton Constituency, Mohammed Hardi Tufeiru has commissioned two electrification projects in Sakpali and Chahiyili communities in the Nanton District.

According to him, the project targets 14 communities in the District for electricity extension in first phase and subsequently the second phase will expand to reach other communities.

Among the 14 targeted communities, 8 communities including Sakpali and Chahiyili have been connected to the national grid and plans are in progress to power the remaining 6 communities.

He indicated that, the initiative is in line with the vision of the government to ensure all communities in Ghana are connected to the national grid. However, the target he said is to achieve 90 percent of this vision before the end of the first term of His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo administration.

At separate events to commission the project Hon. Mohammed Hardi Tufeiru opined that community members do not have to travel far distance to power their phones and other electrical appliances and added that the electrification will boost economic activities, education and information reception in the communities.

The Nanton MP also indicated that he has noted the appeal of both communities for a grinding-mill and promised to deliver a grinding-mill to the communities.

In an interview with the Assemblyman Inusha Tidou, he applauded the MP for his good works in the community and indicated that community members will not have to travel far distance for electricity services.

Hon. Inusha Tidou emphasized on the lack of grinding-mill in the community and hoped that in a few months a grinding-meal will be provided for them. He also noted that his community did not benefit from the one village one damp project and he pleaded with the MP Mohammed Tufeiru to aid them benefit from the one village one damp project.

The chiefs of the two communities Alhassan Gaani, Sakpali community and Amadu Imoro, Chahiyili community applauded Hon. Hardi Tufeiru Mohammed for his enormous contribution in the development of their communities.
