Some aggrieved youth suspected to be supporters of the three suspended regional executives of the main opposition national democratic congress (NDC) of the Tamale metropolis, has on Friday attacked the Northern Regional NDC secretariat and destroyed party properties
The irate youth broke into the office of the regional secretary on Friday May 08, 2020 and fired some gun shots around the building, before starting destroying some party property running into thousands of Ghana cedis.
According to the eyewitness present at the office during the attack, the Secretary was in the office for his official assignment when the incident happened.
The regional secretary has since reported the matter to the northern regional police command.
It would be recalled that the Northern Regional branch of the main opposition national democratic congress (NDC) has on Friday 1st May 2020 suspended three of its regional executive’s and two constituency executives indefinitely for misconduct
This action was taken by the leadership of NDC led Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila as results of the suspended executives allegedly distribution of Ramadan sugar without the knowledge of the regional chairman of NDC.
