N/R: NPP pc for Tamale South constituency Distributes Hand washing Facilities To Constituency

As part of measures to control the spread of the deadly COVID – 19 into the Tamale South constituency of the Northern Region, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate Yussif Yakubu has on Thursday 26th March 2020, distributed 500 veronica buckets and hundreds of hand sanitizers and liquid soap to some chief palaces, Health centers and youth groups within the constituency

The beneficiaries’ places include Bamvim chief palace, Lamashegu chief palace, Guma Naa chief palace, Bamvim Health center among others.

The Veronica buckets together with the liquid soap and hand sanitizers were placed in front of the palaces to help promote the hand washing habit.

Tamale South constituency youth organizer  of the NPP Issah Abdul Razack, Presenting the items on behalf of the NPP Parliament candidate, stressed the need for people living within Tamale South constituency to attach maximum importance to the spread of the COVID – 19 in the constituency.

He said the distribution of the items is in line with president’s directives of encouraging hand washing “and I want to urge the people within the constituency to adhere to the precautions by health expert by washing their hands with running water to enable us control the spread of this deadly virus”, he said

Issah Abdul Razack briefing the media after presenting the items to Lamashegu chief, stated that the health of the people within the constituency is the top most priority to the NPP parliamentary candidate, hence his move to help curb the spread of the deadly disease in the area.

At the Bamvim chief palace where a short ceremony was held, Bamvim Naa ,Mahama Abdulai commended the NPP parliamentary candidate for the support and his effort towards ensuring the well-being of persons within his constituency.

He has however encouraged his subjects to adhere to the directives by the president and the precautions placed by the Ghana Health Service to control the spread of the virus

At his palace in Lamashegu, Nyab Lamashegu Naa Alhaji Abdulai Ziblim, after receiving the items also thank the NPP pc for the gesture and expressed the need for people to observe the precautions by the Ghana Health Service.
