My contenders are jokers, Bugri describes as he seeks a second term bid

The northern regional chairman of the new patriotic party, Abdul Fatawu Bugri Naabu has described as “Jokers”, persons seeking to unseat him from his position.

According to the outspoken politician, despite securing more seats for the party in the 2016 parliamentary elections, he still had an unfinished task to execute, hence the need to seek a second term bid.

His comments, comes in the wake of rumors on social media, that he (Bugri Naabu) was considering withdrawing from the contest, after threats of death even before the regional delegates conference takes place.

However, declaring his intention to go for a second term bid, Bugri Naabu said, his contenders where only jokers, who had no message for the masses and can’t offer anything useful to the party.

“I want to assure u, am not going anywhere, and am coming. Because I cannot do a good work, that The whole of Ghana and even beyond Ghana have recognized the job I have done, and the say I will not contest?, I will re-run. He stated.

The race to unseat the incumbent chairman, has intensified, as Bugri battles renowned Hajj Agent, Alhaji Dagomba Boy. Regional organizer and coordinator of the National disaster management organization (NADMO) Alhaji Hindu and renowned Business man, Alhaji Adam Samba, who has been widely tipped to win.

But Bugri Naabu says none can match up to his standard. “Those who are coming out, to me they are all jokers. When jokers are coming you don’t need to rush yourself. Am relaxing because I know my one day out, all of them will be overshadowed. They don’t have any message”. He stated.

He promised to increase more seats for the party and also place northern region second to Ashanti region in terms of votes, if he was re-elected for the next four years.
