Former member of Parliament for Nanton constituency, Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala, has confirmed reports that, he is indeed vying for the Tamale central seat.
Reports have been rife in the past weeks on both social and mainstream media, that the former Nanton MP, who served as deputy trade and industry minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration, was lacing up his boots to replace the incumbent, who declared his intention not to run for a fourth term.
Speaking to diamond FM at the ongoing regional delegates conference of the NDC, Murtala Mohammed stated that he is well poised to take over the mantle.
