‘LET’S NOT UNDERRATE THEM’ SAYS BLACK MAIDENS CAPTAIN

Captain of the female national under 17 team, Abdulai Mukarama has asked that her colleagues should guard against complacency when they meet Gambia in the second leg of the qualifying series for the FIFA Women Under 17 world cup on Saturday at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Mukarama scored four goals when Ghana defeated Gambia in the first leg match that was played in Banjul.

The Black Maidens of Ghana won the game 5-1 making the second leg a mere formality but the workaholic Northern Ladies striker says it is not over yet.

Ghana will host the Gambian female under 17 team in the return leg encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The team is in Cape Coast preparing for the match on Saturday with the expectation that they would win massively again.

The winner of the two-legged tie will face Djibouti in the next stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for a place in the tournament to be staged in Uruguay from 13th November to 1st December 2018.
