Join “Aagbe Wo” Demo – Ex-President Mahama to NDC Supporters

Former President John Dramani Mahama has encouraged supporters of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fully participate in the “Aagbe wo” demonstration today, Thursday, 7 February 2019.

“I welcome the initiative of the Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty and I encourage all members of the NDC to participate in tomorrow’s demonstration. Let’s show to the world that we stand for peace and that the violence displayed in AWW has no place in our democracy,” Ex-President Mahama tweeted.

The protest put together by members of the Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty said its resolve to embark on the demonstration stems from the violent incident that temporarily disrupted voting process at La Bawaleshie during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by election on Thursday, 31 January 2019.

“Aagbe wo” means “They are killing us”.
