ISSAC DOGBOE’S REMATCH FOR HIS LOST TITLE HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR MAY 2019

Isaac Dogboe’s father and trainer, Paul Dogboe has revealed that a rematch for his son’s lost title has been scheduled for May 2019.

Isaac Dogboe lost his WBO world super bantamweight title to Mexican Emmanuel Navarette in the United States earlier this month by a unanimous decision.

Two of the judges scored the bout 116- 112 in favour of Navarette while the last judge scored it 115 -113 also in favour of the Mexican.

But speaking about the loss and a possible rematch, Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the fallen champion said his team are training hard to ‘bring back what belongs to Ghana’.

He said that the rematch will take place in May and that there is restructuring of the team indicating that a new professional coach is being brought on board.

Paul Dogboe said Ghanaians should expect a better showdown from Isaac in the rematch revealing that the outcome of that bout will determine his future role on his son’s team.
