Ibrahim Mahama supports Muslims in Tamale ahead of Eid celebration

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama has distributed some food items and an undisclosed amount of money to selected institutions in the Tamale metropolis.

The items which included 250 bags of rice, boxes of tomato paste, cooking oil, cattle, 10 rams and some assorted drinks were presented to institutions such as the Tamale Central Prison, the Nyohini Children’s Home, Tamale Central Mosque, Ambariya Mosque and Masjiddull Bayaan in line with Ibrahim Mahama’s annual gesture in support of the celebration of Eid-ul Adha.

Presenting the items at the Tamale Central Prison, an aide to the CEO of Engineers and planners Rafiq Mahama, said the gesture formed part of his boss’s social responsibility to his people.

He said the support is also aimed at assisting the people most especially the venerable in society to celebrate the Eid which falls on Friday. He added that the business mogul who is also a junior brother to the NDC’s flagbearer and former president John Dramani Mahama will continue to assist the people in this part of the country.

He said the support to the Tamale Central Prison and the Nyohini Children’s Home is very essential since the inmates in these facilities are not with their families.

 “This is a period of sacrifice, a period of sharing and a period where families come together to make merry. Unfortunately, some of our Muslim brothers and sisters who should have been with their families to mark the occasion cannot because they are in confinement, therefore he decided to assist these people to also mark the occasion”, he narrated.

Chief Sup. Devin Oclo who received the items on behalf of the Regional Commander and Director of the Tamale Central Prisons thanked Mr Ibrahim Mahama and staff of Engineers and Planners for their kind gesture.

At the Nyohini Children’s Home, Madam Mawulorm Afelete who received the items also thanked the CEO of Engineers and planners for the gesture.

Ibrahim Mahama also extended the gesture to the Central Mosque, Ambariya and Masjiddul Bayaan.

The Imams of Central Mosque, Ambariya and Masjiddul Bayaan who received the items on behalf of Muslims prayed and assured the business mogul  of their continued prayers towards his business.
