GUSA GAMES DAY SIX UPDATE

Games for day six (6) of the ongoing GUSA Games in Tamale was on the tracks as athletes and officials jostled to win laurels for their universities.

The 4x100m relay event saw the University for Development Studies (UDS) team coming first in the men category whilst the University of Cape Coast (UCC), were first, second went to host UDS and third went to the University of Ghana (UG).

In the 5000m event, UDS were first and second whilst the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) were third.

The 100m hurdles saw UCC coming first whilst UDS took second. In the men’s 100m hurdles event, UDS was first, KNUST was second and UDS was third again.

The 800m event saw the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), UDS second and UCC was third.

The Javelin men event saw UCC first and second and UG were third. The long jump event saw UCC first and KNUST second.

The Pole Vault event saw UCC first, UG second and the University of Education, Wineaba (UEW) was third.

The Discuss saw UEW coming first, UCC was second and third. The finals of the athletics events take place later on Friday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
