Assistant trainee nurses angry over President Akuffo Addo’s failure to honour campaign promise of securing postings for them

The Zonal executives of the 2016 batch of the Nurses Assistant Clinical NAC and Nurses Assistant Preventives NAP in the Northern Region want the government and the ministry of health to fulfill the promises made to them during 2016 general elections to post them to various health facilities if elected.

The group in a letter copy to Diamond News indicated it had over six thousand membership comprising Nurse Clinical Assistant and Nurse Assistant Preventive who graduated from various public health institutions in the region in 2016, but are yet to receive their posting letters.

Their continuous stay at home, the group added is making life unbearable to them and therefore want government to address their concerns latest by the 16th of February or this could incur their wrath.

Ibrahim Arimiyaw Nindow, the president of the NAC and NAP northern zone, later told Diamond News that they will picket at the flagstaffs house and ministry of health if the government fails to listen to their concerns.

He also denied the ministry of health’s position on the bonding issue of the 2016 batch of Nurse Assistant clinical.
