Farouk Aliu Mahama to support farmers in Yendi on Saturday

Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Yendi Constituency of the Northern Region, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama will on Saturday May 4, 2019 support farmers within the Yendi Municipality of the Norther Region.

The support which is under the auspices of Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR) a non-profit making organization established by the son of the first Muslim Vice president of Ghana, is aimed at resourcing farmers in the area ahead of this year’s farming season.

The main event scheduled to take place at the Yendi Community Centre on Saturday, 04 May 2019, with 1200 bottles of Weedicide, 580 cutlasses, 340 Wellington boots, 600 bags of fertilizer (urea and NPK) 100 Napsacks and 300 anti-snakes serum. 

Last year the son of the late Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, as part of his philanthropist also distributed same farm inputs include knapsacks sprayers to over 400 farmers in the Yendi Municipality of the Northern Region.

The farmers also undergo some training on how to use the knapsack sprayers and other methods of farming to improve their yields.
