Drivers at Tamale bus terminal unhappy over poor sanitation at the facility

Driver at the main bus terminal in Tamale, have lamented over unhygienic conditions of the facility, expressing fears of an outbreak of an epidemic.

According to the aggrieved drivers, despite honoring their tolls to the assembly on daily basis, yet little is being done to improve upon the sanitation situation at the bus terminal.

This came to light, when advocates for community development (a student group), embarked on a cleanup exercise to sanitize the place.

Issah Rahama is founder of the group, and said the rationale behind the clean up exercise at the Tamale bus terminal, was to help in getting the place clean, as well as curb the outbreak of an epidemic.

With Mainly students from all the nation’s tertiary institutions, Advocates for community development Identify societal problems such as education, sanitation, and uses community based approaches to tackling them.
