The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Karaga Constituency of the Northern Region, Dr Mohammed Amin Anta has presented three tricycle ambulances to three farming communities in the constituency to help transport pregnant women to health centres for safe delivery.
The beneficiary communities include, Shalinlanyili, Zogu and Gaa Yapala of the Karaga Constituency. The presentation was in fulfilment of a pledge he made to the people of the beneficiary communities who informed him about the infant and maternal mortalities in the area because of the absence of an ambulance to transport pregnant women to health centres.
The chiefs and people of the beneficiary communities, who could not hide their excitement, prayed for the Deputy Minister of Energy in charge of Petroleum for the benevolence and also wished him well in his future undertakings. The donation was done by members of his campaign team on behalf of Dr Anta.
The Deputy Minister in charge of petroleum is seeking the mandate to lead the party for the first time in the constituency.
