Chairman for Dagbon Malima Zugun, (DAMAZ), Alhaji Jagbo Baako, has picked up his nomination forms to contest the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary primaries at Tolon Constituency.
Alhaji Jagbo Baako by this bold step has launched the strongest contention against the incumbent Hon Wahab Suhuyini Wumbei and other aspiring candidates, in the impending NPP parliamentary primaries.
The DAMAZ leader is seeking to snatch the seat from Hon Wahab Suhuyini.
In private life, Alhaji Jagbo Baako is the chairman of
Dagbon Malima Zugun, a peace advocacy group in the Northern Region who fought for
the restoration of peace in Dagbon.
As a result of these inherent qualities, Alhaji Jagbo Baako believes strongly
that he would make a complete and perfect legislator.
Alhaji Baako is a fully-blown NPP firebrand and dye-in-wool activist. He
believes the time has come for him to serve Tolon having spent most of his life
growing up in the constituency.
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to hold its Parliamentary primaries
on 25th April 2020 in areas the party has sitting Members of Parliament.
The NPP announced the opening of nominations and filing for qualified members of the party through its general secretary.
The deadline for the submission of forms and filing of nominations is on February 20, 2020. Diamondfmonline.com checks from the constituency office of Tolon, revealed three persons had picked the forms to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections in Tolon. They are Alhaji Habib Idrisu, Alhaji Jagbo Baako, and Hajia Amama.
